Do you have a desire to step out of your comfort zone and volunteer for a cause, a group of people, for your faith, or any other heartfelt reason in your soul? Well, here is a good place to start. If you cannot find something or are unsure about any issue, contacting the Social Concerns Director may lead you to a path that helps you confidently and fully move out of your comfort zone!

A U.S. and global volunteer network committed to working in other countries, as well as the U.S., through the efforts of many volunteers with varied talents and backgrounds. Catholic Relief Services helps educate, fight hunger, build, offer medical and therapeutic time, and hope. Volunteers needed span all ages, types of families and individuals, educational and trade backgrounds as well as various times to give (weekends to a full year in the field).  Elijah’s Soup Kitchen
Volunteer jobs include feeding dinner to the needy at one of two soup kitchens, making lunches, helping at the restaurant, sorting clothes for the needy population, cleaning the kitchen, and gardening. Friendship Ministries
A program to share God's love with people who have intellectual disabilities and to enable them to become an active part of God's family. If you would like to help start this program in our church, please contact the Social Concerns office. The format for this ministry is successfully up and running across the United States in many congregations of many faiths.

Special Olympics of New Jersey: 
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
