Purpose: The purpose of the Sunshine Commit-tee is to let parishioners in need of cheer, as well as their family members, know that the parish and the committee are thinking of them and praying for them. The recipients of our cards and notes include those with medical conditions, or who are undergoing medical treatment or rehab, as well as those having difficulty dealing with a loss. 

Time Commitment: We send cards once a month. Additionally, we send holiday cards, including New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The commitment is approximately one to two hours a month, depending on how many people members write to. 

Qualifications: Good handwriting and the ability to keep the list confidential
