Purpose: To assist the priest, at Mass, in administering the Body and Blood of Christ to those in the congregation who wish to receive the Eucharist. Additionally, Extraordinary Ministers may be participants in the Homebound Ministry bringing the Body of Christ to the sick, elderly and homebound. 

Time Commitment: No formal schedule. It is left to the discretion of the individual. There are sign-up sheets located in the Gathering Space Coat Room. Ministers sign up, for one of the positions, when they arrive at Mass. Ministers for Confirmation and First Eucharist are requested prior to these celebrations. 

Qualifications: Practicing Catholic having received the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Ministers must display great reverence in their demeanor, the manner in which they handle the consecrated bread and wine, and in their attire.
